The NYSC
Programme was established in 1973, three years after the end
of Nigeria's civil war, by the military administration of
General Yakubu Gowon to help with national integration and
unity. The scheme was also designed to provide corps members
the opportunity to acquire requisite leadership qualities,
discipline and hard work that will assist towards building
a better Nigeria.
Thirty five years on,
do you think the scheme is achieving the goals it was designed
to achieve?
